A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The time has now arrived to consolidate on the foundations that have been laid over the past few years. As most of you will know we have at last been recognised as a serious organisation dedicated to the breeding and improvement of the Crested Budgerigar. We will be exhibiting the crested variety at the next three National competitions under the same conditions as for all the other varieties except that they will not be included in the overall points score. It is MOST important that we make a special effort to get as many of our birds onto the bench to show that they are as good as and as popular as any other variety.
membership runs from May to May each year to coincide with the National competitions. Perhaps some of you have given up the variety, or others may have not been aware of the renewal dates, others may have passed their crested birds onto others breeders. What ever the case may be I ask you to contact our Secretary by telephone, post or Email so that we can establish a true list of members and thereby keep them informed of the availability of crested material and other matters. The membership remains at $20 per year. If you are aware of other breeders who may be interested in joining our club please pass on all the information to our Secretary who will gladly follow it up.
You may have heard that the seminar held in Sydney last year was a huge success with many crested budgerigars benched for the judges and there were many others available for breeders to purchase at very resonable prices. We hope to do it again this year.
